Hi, my name is Laura, ex Aupair ✨ Nanny expert ✨I’m a industrial design student, current offering child care, house sitting or pet sitting services. My experience as a baby sitter is very good,I started at home taking care of my little brother but also taking care of 2 kids (1 and 7 years old) for more that one whole year every day… During my job I drove the kids to the school and after school to soccer practice. I worked with the same family for little more than a year and then we became very good friends. Now I’m living here in New York and I’m looking for a good family! I love working with kids, I’m originally from colombia and I can teach the kids Spanish if you need. I can prepare meals to the kids, (not afraid to change diapers). I’m also pet lover. Some dogs and cats can cause me allergies but If a keep washing my hands everything will be fine. Thanks for reading, hope to meet you soon!!!!

Hi! My name is Kaidy- I graduated with a B.S. from West Virginia University in 2013, then continued to take classes towards a Master’s degree in Education shortly after. I have worked both as a preschool teacher and a full-time nanny since then. I am offering childcare, such as nanny and babysitting, and pet services. I’ve always loved taking care of kids; I started babysitting at 11 years old and continued that career path through my adulthood. I’ve worked with children off all ages ranging from infants and toddlers (including twins!), all the way through high school age. I have the education and training to care for all different types of children through my work as a Paraprofessional; this includes children with developmental, behavioral, and/or learning disabilities as well as children with autism. In my previous nannying experience, my responsibilities with the children have included (but are not limited to): driving or using public transit to take children to school, museums, parks/playgrounds, and sports; daily arts and crafts; STEM experiments; teaching phonics, basic math, writing skills, and homework help; integrating music through guitar, song and dance; and creating engaging, and often educational, daily games. Additionally, I offer household services to the families I work with, such as: laundry, cleaning general play areas, cooking meals, and running errands. I have both a dog and a cat at home- I love animals! So I am offering pet care services as well. I am trained and certified in infant/child/adult CPR & First Aid, and I have utilized my skills several times working with children. I have successfully preformed the Heimlich Maneuver on separate occasions for a baby and a toddler, as well as identified the signs of a child experiencing an asthma attack and immediately used their rescue inhaler. I have also administered regular medication to children (and pets!) and I feel totally comfortable doing so. I don’t have any children of my own, but I grew up the oldest of 30 first cousins and I have absolutely loved being able to care for them, as well as children of any age and background; to see them grow, and help them flourish, is an honor that I don’t take lightly. I am confident in creating a fun, engaging, and educational experience for your little ones. I hope to show your family the compassion and strong work ethic that I have to offer!

I highly recommend Katherine M (Kaidy), who served as our family's nanny for two and a half years. Her dedication to childcare and consistent professionalism would make her an asset to any family. Kaidy joined our family when our children were in diapers and stayed through their transition to school. She created meaningful learning experiences daily, taking the children to museums and playgrounds, and turning their curiosity into opportunities for growth. Our children's faces light up whenever she arrives, and they ask for her on her days off. She has become their trusted confidante - someone they seek out for comfort and conversation. Through her consistent care and attention, she has built a relationship with our family that will stay with our children for years to come. She excelled at supporting our children's education. She taught our toddler phonics, establishing early reading skills. When our older child started school, she helped with mathematics homework, showing her ability to adapt her teaching to different ages and subjects. She managed household tasks efficiently, handling laundry, tidying, and grocery shopping without prompting. Her ability to anticipate and address household needs made her essential to our family's daily routine. Her punctuality stood out - she arrived on time or early 99% of the time. When she anticipated delays of even ten minutes, she communicated promptly via text message.

Hello everyone, I began my career as a Montessori preschool teacher, where I developed a deep understanding of child-led learning, developmental milestones, and creating enriching, structured environments. In 2019, I transitioned into professional nannying, bringing my classroom expertise into private homes to provide personalized, high-quality care. My approach blends Montessori principles with attentive, individualized care ensuring each child feels secure, confident, and inspired to explore their world. I am warm, patient, and caring, always valuing safety, respect, and open communication. I strive to communicate clearly and kindly, fostering an atmosphere of trust. When working with children, I like to use positive reinforcement, simple explanations, and consistent follow through to create a supportive environment. With parents, I remain organized and transparent, making sure everyone feels heard and valued.

She was wonderful. Very patient with our toddler and he had so much fun with Miriam.

Hi, I’m Madeline. I’m new to Urbansitter and I’m offering childcare, pet care and household services. I grew up babysitting for my family and neighbors often as a teenager. I adore working with kids and spending time with them. In more recent years I’ve been working in DOE schools as a substitute teacher. Primarily in East Flatbush with elementary aged students. Over the past two years I had the pleasure of teaching with a co-teacher in one classroom. This has given me the opportunity to better see and facilitate growth in my students and create genuine bonds. I also have experience teaching art classes and afterschool classes through a local studio where my responsibilities included lesson planning, tutoring, and behavioral management. I love taking kids outside, swimming if they enjoy that, baking and doing art projects. I grew up with pets, dogs, cats, rabbits, etc. I can also cook, clean and run errands as per your needs. I am CPR/AED certified.

Hello, my name is Michelle! I hold a bachelor’s degree in Forensic Psychology and have over 10 years of hands-on childcare experience. Throughout the years, I’ve cared for children of all ages—from infants to teenagers—including families with multiple children at once. In my role as a babysitter, I’ve enjoyed engaging kids in fun and educational activities such as arts and crafts, reading, homework support, outdoor play, and creative games like building with Legos or imaginative role play. I’m also experienced with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and providing overnight care when needed. Beyond babysitting, I’ve worked as a paraprofessional supporting children with behavioral needs in a school setting. This gave me valuable experience working one-on-one with students, reinforcing my patience, empathy, and ability to adapt to each child’s unique personality and needs. Parents describe me as reliable, caring, and enthusiastic. I love encouraging creativity, outdoor activities, and fostering a safe, positive environment where kids feel comfortable and happy. In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with animals—so I’m happy to help in pet-friendly homes as well. I offer a flexible schedule and am just a phone call or text away. I also have strong references from previous families and supervisors, available upon request.

My experience with Michelle was great. She would take my kids to the park, library and go to museums with them whenever there was an opportunity. She is always doing art projects with them during down time. She is Very reliable and trustworthy as my kids enjoy spending time with her. She is the queen of slime!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
