Hi, I’m Madeline. I’m new to Urbansitter and I’m offering childcare, pet care and household services. I grew up babysitting for my family and neighbors often as a teenager. I adore working with kids and spending time with them. In more recent years I’ve been working in DOE schools as a substitute teacher. Primarily in East Flatbush with elementary aged students. Over the past two years I had the pleasure of teaching with a co-teacher in one classroom. This has given me the opportunity to better see and facilitate growth in my students and create genuine bonds. I also have experience teaching art classes and afterschool classes through a local studio where my responsibilities included lesson planning, tutoring, and behavioral management. I love taking kids outside, swimming if they enjoy that, baking and doing art projects. I grew up with pets, dogs, cats, rabbits, etc. I can also cook, clean and run errands as per your needs. I am CPR/AED certified.

Hello! I absolutely adore babysitting because I enjoy caring for others and playing with children's wild imaginations. As a highly experienced caregiver, I hold an associate degree in Early Childhood education, am currently finishing my bachelor's in human services and community, and have worked at the Rockefeller University Child and Family Center for six years. During that time, I gained an extensive background in babysitting and teaching children of all ages. In addition to my education and work experience, I am also trained in CPR and first aid, so you can trust that your child is in safe hands. I am also highly flexible and available to work on short notice or at irregular hours. In fact, I am able to work overnight and most weekends, so you can have peace of mind knowing that I am always there for your family. I've built great connections with many families from this website, some of whom I've even remained close with to this day. In fact, I'm honored to say that one child I used to babysit is now a part of my wedding! I mention this to let you know that I'm more than just a babysitter; I truly care about the families I work with and strive to build meaningful relationships with them. If you're looking for a reliable, caring babysitter who truly loves what she does, I would be honored to work with your family. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or would like to set up a time to chat. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Needed a sitter to help me throw my daughter's pink princess bday party at her school. Lauren was wonderful - punctual, helpful, knowledgable about toddler bday parties, personable, professional and strong. The students (two and three year olds) loved her. Lauren stepped into the MC role, also held that stuffed pinata for a long time with very few breaks for about 15 minutes as 14 toddlers took their turns to try to beat it open (with my daughter getting first and last turns). Lauren is at the top of my list for next year's school party. Grateful that she applied and accepted the job. Highly recommend.

Hello, my name is Michelle! I hold a bachelor’s degree in Forensic Psychology and have over 10 years of hands-on childcare experience. Throughout the years, I’ve cared for children of all ages—from infants to teenagers—including families with multiple children at once. In my role as a babysitter, I’ve enjoyed engaging kids in fun and educational activities such as arts and crafts, reading, homework support, outdoor play, and creative games like building with Legos or imaginative role play. I’m also experienced with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and providing overnight care when needed. Beyond babysitting, I’ve worked as a paraprofessional supporting children with behavioral needs in a school setting. This gave me valuable experience working one-on-one with students, reinforcing my patience, empathy, and ability to adapt to each child’s unique personality and needs. Parents describe me as reliable, caring, and enthusiastic. I love encouraging creativity, outdoor activities, and fostering a safe, positive environment where kids feel comfortable and happy. In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with animals—so I’m happy to help in pet-friendly homes as well. I offer a flexible schedule and am just a phone call or text away. I also have strong references from previous families and supervisors, available upon request.

My experience with Michelle was great. She would take my kids to the park, library and go to museums with them whenever there was an opportunity. She is always doing art projects with them during down time. She is Very reliable and trustworthy as my kids enjoy spending time with her. She is the queen of slime!

Hi moms and dads! My name is Aliana and I have over six years of experience caring for kids from newborns to age 14, and I genuinely love what I do! I’m looking for a part time job during the school year, and full time or part time job from late June to mid August. I’m a 22 year old college student going for nursing and am First Aid and CPR Certified. I also am up to date with all of my vaccinations, including COVID-19. I hold my NY State Driver’s license, but do not have a car. I’m warm, reliable, and easygoing, and I enjoy building real connections with both kids and parents. I have a creative and adventurous side! I love planning fun activities, getting outside, and keeping kids engaged with games, crafts, and little adventures around our beautiful city. At the same time, I’m responsible, organized, and always focused on creating a safe and happy environment where kids can be themselves.

Aliana is an amazing sitter! She is wonderful with both my children, engaging them well and even can get my youngest son to stop crying when I leave (other sitters can’t!). She does an amazing job with helping tidy the house even stepping in on laundry. She is an A +++ level sitter and I would trust her fully.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
