Childcare for me once was a hobby that has blossomed into my life long purpose. I have always adored children and take pride in being a part of so many family, friends and associates’ villages. I have been a nanny both part time and full time for multiples and a nanny share. Currently, I’ve received my Child Development Associate, I am a full time assistant teacher at a daycare, & a direct support provider for a child with special needs, 4 years and counting. After school hours and most weekends I am a babysitter for local, school and referred clients. In the past few years I’ve focused on expanding my knowledge and experience. I hold several certifications & undergo extensive trainings to comply with both state & daycare regulations. I will always go above and beyond to grow, as no day is the same and I love that I get to tap into my fun side. I enjoy having a great time, teaching, fostering developmental growth and being a nurturer. Speaking of fun, my previous babysitter agency job provided me opportunities in places such as hotels, back up care in the home, & events i.e.; weddings on a weekly basis. I even supervised several different Sunday school group activities. Please be advised, I am CPR/First Aid/AED trained so safety is a top priority. I am in search of full time & occasional needs. I hope that we are a match!

Hi my name is Veronica, I am a certified nanny/baby nurse and also CPR certified.I am looking for part time or full time employment. I have been working with children for 18years and given I have two of my own one over the age of 20. I love kids regardless of age and tend to have their best interest at heart. I have been told by multiple kids that I am more like a mommy when their mother is not around and that warm my heart and proves to me that I am doing what’s right.I am most definitely an outdoorsy person who believe in kids exploring and having fun, furthermore I also enjoy getting on the floor with them engaging in any kind of indoor games being arts and craft, block stacking, reading, ect. I speak basic french and is willing to teach you little ones a second language if you so desire. In my spare time I love decorating, cooking, looking to learn new things that will enhance my life and going out with friends. Caring for children truly gives me a sense of joy and happiness.

Veronica was a godsend for us! She provided exceptional overnight care for our newborn, allowing us to recover and sleep while knowing our baby was safe and happy. She is professional, kind, and clearly loves what she does. Five stars isn't enough!

Booked by 23 families in New York, NY

Hi! I'm Shterna, and I'm 26 years old. I grew up in central Brooklyn in a big family of 11, with 28 nieces and nephews (ages 0-16) and over 100 first cousins. Being surrounded by kids my whole life, I naturally picked up childcare early on. *I will be graduating with a Bachelor's in Education in July of 2027 (My classes are on Sunday, and at 7:30 PM twice a week so my school schedule does not impede my daytime/full-time availability)* I started working with kids professionally in middle school as a babysitter and summer camp counselor. After finishing school in 2018, I primarily worked as a nanny (with a brief stint in corporate) and continue to nanny today. I have lots of experience with newborns, multiples, classrooms (of infants, toddlers, and junior high-school) long shifts, overnights and weekends, children who are unwell, working in two-parent households, and transporting kids around the city. I also have experience caring for dogs and cats, hold a driver’s license, and am vaccinated. Outside of work, I’m an avid reader and Boggle player. I love putting on makeup, jump on any opportunity to hear live-music, and enjoy schmoozing with friends. As a religious Jew, my weekend availability can be limited, but I’m happy to work around it when possible. I’m semi-fluent in Hebrew (and Yiddish) and enjoy sharing my culture with anyone interested! I look forward to hearing from you and am happy to answer any questions or provide additional information and references.

Shterna is a confident, dependable caregiver. She has taken the time to understand our infant daughter's personality, moods, developmental stage, and individual needs, adapting her care accordingly. She actively supports our daughter's development through thoughtful interaction and age-appropriate activities. Since she began caring for our daughter, we have noticed her becoming more settled, engaged, and confident. Most importantly, our daughter has developed a strong bond with Shterna and is always happy to see her. We feel confident leaving our daughter in Shterna's care and highly recommend her to any family looking for a kind, reliable, and attentive babysitter.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
