Dear Families, I’m Joycelyn, a certified NYS teacher for grades 1–6 and currently teaching 2nd grade. This is my second year teaching in the DOE. In 2023, I earned my Master’s in Teaching and Curriculum in Elementary Education from Columbia Teachers College. I’ve been working with children for over a decade—starting as a babysitter at 13 and later in daycares, preschools, elementary schools, day camps, and after-school programs. Along the way, I’ve gained experience with different teaching approaches, including Montessori and Cooperative Learning, and have also worked with children with special needs such as autism and ADHD. I grew up in Brooklyn and live in Park Slope. Outside of teaching, I enjoy traveling, cooking, arts and crafts, and reading thriller novels. I love sharing these interests with children, whether it’s through creative projects, problem-solving activities, or simply exploring new ideas together. Above all, my passion lies in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every child can thrive. ____________________ Booking Policies: *I kindly request the full fee for the entire scheduled duration, even if you return earlier. * I kindly request that for same-day cancellations, a fee of 25% of the booking fee be paid. Thank you in advance for your understanding, I look forward to working with your family.

Hi! I’m Mel, your child’s future best friend :) I’m a dedicated and nurturing childcare provider, household manager, home organizer, and personal chef with over a decade of experience caring for all ages, from infants to teens, and everything in-between. I prioritize creating a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment that promotes growth, curiosity, and confidence. My background includes expertise in child development and I have a strong interest in child psychology and learning how to best support their emotional needs. I have extensive experience with neurodivergent children and those with differing needs and I tailor my care to support each child individually. There is no one-size-fits-all method with children and I genuinely enjoy learning with each child in my care. In addition to my childcare credentials, I have a medical background, I’m CPR/BLS certified, an experienced personal chef, and a passionate home (and life!) organizer. I'd love to bring these skills to your household to help your lives run more seamlessly. I pride myself on having an individual approach for each family's unique needs and I look forward to hearing more about your family and what you’re looking for!

She was truly wonderful with my children! My five and eight year old loved her immediately. She was also very communicative and timely. I trusted her to take excellent care of my little ones-- can't recommend highly enough.

Hi Prospective Parent(s)! My name is Fiona and I’m a junior at Colby College studying International Relations, Economics, and Chinese. I’m back home in New York City for summer break and would love to help out any families in need of childcare. I have prior experience caring for toddlers and elementary-aged children and have babysat since high school. I really enjoy spending quality time with the children I care for and getting to know their personalities and quirks. Though I may be younger than some other applicants, I take safety very seriously and will make it my number one priority. Also, I’m still at an age where I can relate to most children :) Notes: fluent in Mandarin, good knowledge with navigating the city and public transportation, no problem with being technology free. Note: I require 50% of the booking for same day cancellations

I have over 10 years of experience as a nanny and babysitter working with children ranging from newborn through elementary age. I also have a background in theater and love bringing that creativity and energy into my work with children. I view my role as a nanny as a teacher and believe children learn best through engagement, play, and exploration. I make it a priority to be fully present with the child rather than distracted by my phone. I enjoy taking children to museums, parks, libraries, and other activities that encourage curiosity and social development. I also have experience working in Early Childhood Education with a teaching style closely aligned with Montessori principles. I believe in positive redirection and creating an environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore independently. I am bilingual in English and Spanish and would be happy to incorporate Spanish language exposure if interested. Coming from a Latin culture, I enjoy exposing children to different cuisines while always respecting dietary restrictions and family preferences. Depending on the child’s age, I also like involving them in meal prep and hands-on learning experiences. In addition to childcare, I enjoy helping maintain a clean and organized home through tidying, bottle cleaning, and meal prep support. I am currently part of the NYU Teacher Residency program and am seeking part-time work until my program begins in August.

Natasha was great with our 1-year-old son!

My name is Justine I have been working with children and family’s for over 10 years. I have experience with children with special needs as well. I am able to complete house chores extra curricular activities. I have worked with multiple families and don’t mind being on call when needed. I also do nanny share depending on what you like. I have in the past done tutoring and homework help. I am very flexible and willing to be of help where I can.

We were incredibly lucky to have Justine as our night babysitter from the time our son was born. She took care of him 5 and sometimes 6 nights a week for over three months, and her support made an enormous difference for our family during those early weeks. Justine is exceptionally caring, attentive, and trustworthy. She has a real gift with babies and was always generous with helpful tips, reassurance, and practical advice. Her communication was proactive and clear, she kept us informed, anticipated needs, and made sure we always felt confident and at ease. We truly felt that our son was in the best hands, and her calm, professional presence allowed us to rest and recover. We would recommend Justine without hesitation to anyone looking for a night babysitter or newborn care, she is simply wonderful.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
