Anita 3 reviews
New York
$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in New York, NY

Hello, my name is Anita and I have been a nanny with more than ten years of professional experience. I’m easy going, trustworthy individual and work together with parents very well as a team. I’ll do what I’m asked and I’ll do extra to help ensure the child/children are happy and safe. I take safety to be very important and am always vigilant anywhere we are. We always have a great day either outdoors or indoors depending on the weather. I usually prepare meals and do the laundry for the child/children and tidy up. I’m usually not on my phone/headphones while with children. I received my first dose of COVID-19 vaccine on 4/2/2021 and my second dose on 4/31/21 (Moderna) and my booster shot in December 2021.

Anita started working with us when our son was about 4 months. (He's almost 2 years old now). Anita was great and took very good care of our son, played with him, took him to playgrounds, arranged play dates. She also cooked meals for him, gave him a bath and did his laundry, basically took care of all his needs. She is very friendly and accommodating. She's a wonderful person, and we became good friends and so comfortable. We loved having her but since we moved places we had to say goodbye. I would recommend Anita without any hesitation.

Julia 1 review
New York
$28 per hour for 1 child

Hello! My name is Julia and I am an experienced childcare provider with a strong background in early childhood care, special-needs support and creating structured, engaging routines for children. I have worked with infants, toddlers, school-age children and non-verbal children through my DSP experience, and I am confident adapting to each child’s individual needs. I approach childcare with a calm, nurturing and safety-focused mindset. I’m attentive, patient and extremely reliable — the type of caregiver who communicates clearly, arrives early and maintains a stable environment where children feel secure. I enjoy planning age-appropriate activities, sensory play, crafts and simple educational games that keep children engaged in a positive way. I respect each family’s home, routines and parenting style. My focus is always on the child’s wellbeing, consistency, and comfort. During my shifts, I’m happy to tidy up activities or meals related to the children so everything stays organized and smooth for parents. I am based in NYC, flexible with scheduling and comfortable with daily routines such as feeding, playtime, naptime, and bedtime. I would love the opportunity to support a family that values communication, consistency and genuine care.

My wife and I hire Julia for our date nights and she has been amazing with our 2Yr old. She has a calm, patient way with him that puts us at ease as soon as we walk out the door. He’s very active and curious, but Julia always keeps him safe, engaged and on his routine. She handles everything — dinner, bath time and bedtime without any issues and we always come home to a peaceful house and a happy kid. She also gives us quick updates so we never have to worry. As a dad, I can honestly say she’s one of the few sitters we fully trust. Highly recommend her for any family who wants stress-free nights out. — Dad of a busy toddler

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
