Hello Families and Friends! I am a full-time state certified music educator, and I teach 1st grade-Junior High. I play piano, sing, and compose. I also love hiking, scuba diving, and sailing. I love kids, and I also enjoy tutoring them in additional subjects. Is your child struggling with homework? I can help while also babysitting your child. Please note: travel expenses and time travelled do increase the babysitting fee. 15+ miles is a $5 hourly increase. 30+ miles is a $10 hourly increase. Ex: $30/hr increases to $35/hr. If that is the case, I will verbalize this increase to parents prior to accepting booking invitations.

I'm a graduate student currently pursuing a master's in social work. I was a sitter and nanny throughout high school and college. More recently I have returned to working in childcare in a more formal setting as I work towards my degree. For the past year, I was a clinical social work intern at an elementary school in Montgomery County, MD providing child play therapy to students ages 5-11 with a variety of support needs. Prior to that, I worked at Horton's Kids, a non-profit in Southeast DC providing after school programming and supports to families in the neighborhood. I assisted with after school enrichment programs and also worked directly with students K-8 on social and emotional learning.
