Hi! I have always loved kids and started babysitting when I was 11 years old. Up until I had my daughter in 1998, I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t doing some kind of work with kids: Interning in high school (Learning to Read Through the Arts, after school counselor ), volunteering (New York Foundling Hospital), assistant teacher (5 years at The Jewish Guild for the Blind early intervention program), sewing/craft instructor (home based classes). I had my daughter in 1998 and stayed home with her while caring for another child twice a week when she was small. I starting babysitting on Urban sitter to supplement my income while working on creative projects before deciding to go back to school. I completed my degree as an occupational therapy assistant and have rejoined Urban Sitter while looking for full-time work and am hoping to pick up the occasional babysitting job when I am working, as well. This had included for me to work from 9 to 5, and even staying overtime if my advisors needed the extra help. I was consistently, and not only traveling with the children around the building, but outdoors as well.
