Hi! My name is Nikki, and I have over 3 years of experience working with children and pets. Im an undergraduate at NYU, studying Psychology with a minor in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies! Hi! I’m Amanda, but everyone calls me Mandy! I’m a caring, responsible, and energetic person who genuinely loves being around children. I’m the oldest of five, so caring for younger kids, helping around the house, cooking, and keeping things organized have always been a big part of my life. A little fun fact, back in Puerto Rico, where I'm from, I was always called "Amanda La Que Manda" (Amanda the one in charge), as I was always eager to help and take on tasks! For about six months, I regularly cared for an 8-year-old and a 3-year-old. I picked them up from school, helped with homework, took them to activities, prepared meals, and spent the afternoon making sure they were happy, safe, and cared for. I’ve also occasionally babysat overnight for a 4-year-old and a 10-year-old. I also have experience caring for my dad, as he is in a wheelchair, and assisted him when needed help with everyday tasks, including preparing and feeding him meals, helping with personal care, and making sure he had everything he needed. This taught me a lot about patience, attentiveness, and caring for someone with compassion. I’ve completed an internship with a pediatrician, where I learned more about children’s health and safety, and I’ll be volunteering at a pediatrician’s office this fall. My dream is to become a pediatric emergency physician, so caring for children is something I truly love and feel passionate about. I’m available for part-time and/or full-time nanny care after 12:30 PM. I can help with school pick-ups, homework, meals, playtime, activities, bedtime routines, and light tidying related to the children. Hello! My name is Jonah and I'm a 20 year old NYU student from Miami, FL. I am studying finance at NYU Stern with a focus on the entertainment industry. I grew up with a sister who was six years younger than me, and often took care of her while my parents were busy. I've been to summer camp from ages 7-14, was a counselor-in-training at 15, then a counselor at 16. Having been both a camper and a counselor, I know what it is like to be the kid and the adult in caretaking scenarios. I've been lifeguard certified and CPR-Pro certified, having lifeguarded at the camp I mentioned. I'm a great cook, asian cuisines being my favorite to make. I'm happy to help kids with their homework, or give tutoring sessions, especially in writing or math. I play guitar, and would gladly offer practice lessons for kids who are starting to play. I have a pet dog who I love very much, and would be so excited to care for other pets. I am eager to meet your children and help them find fun activities to enjoy their summer vacations!
