I'm a master's graduate with more than 15 years of childcare experience (including my extensive time caring for my teenage brother and sister since they were infants!). Originally from Phoenix, I've also lived and babysat in Los Angeles, and would love to share my experience with your family here in New York! I'm also happy to assist with household chores, cooking, animal care, and other services along with babysitting.

** DUE TO A WRIST PROBLEM, I AM ONLY WORKING WITH CHILDREN AGES 4 AND UP** Hello! My name is Monique, and I was a stay-at-home mom of two (now grown) children. After my kids grew up, and I thought about going to work, I couldn't think of anything I'd enjoy more (or am better at) than caring for children! I have lots of experience entertaining children with vastly different temperaments and energy levels. I love children of all ages- including the ones that are old enough to think they're smarter than you! I genuinely find all kids interesting and enjoy talking with them and exploring their interests. I love being silly and kids like me - seriously, they really do! I'll be down on the floor, in the grass, whatever it takes, to interact with and to engage your child. (Obviously, older children may not need/want that kind of attention.) I am nurturing, loving, patient, fun, silly, physically fit, experienced, and professional. - Adult & pediatric CPR and First Aid certified (American Red Cross) -Background checked through the California Trustline Registry and through the company Urban Sitter uses. If your child needs help with school work, I might be able to help. I do love teaching. I home schooled one child for nine years, 4th-12th grade). I'm college educated, have a Masters degree from NYU, and have professional tutoring experience. My SUV seats seven, I can assemble nutritious meals, and I love dogs. I'm fine with other animals, too. I am absolutely responsible, completely reliable and punctual! Thank you for your interest in me :) **BOOKINGS ON FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS: 24-hour cancellation policy, $60 charge, which is not intended as a penalty, but a small amount of the loss I incur from missing out on filling a premium spot.

Hi there, I’m Avalon! I am an actor and recently moved to Los Angeles from Manhattan where I attended NYU’s Grad Acting program at Tisch School of the Arts. I spent nearly a decade in Manhattan, where I first moved in 2015 to pursue my undergraduate degree at Fordham University. Soon after my arrival, I started professionally nannying around Manhattan and Brooklyn. Throughout my 10+ years of experience, I have provided for families with a variety of needs. From taking care of a newborns, to after school care, to assisting in household management, I have done it all. I have found that my artistic pursuits as well as my experience in teaching theater school-age children complement my child care work extremely well. I’m known for bringing a lot of joy and play into my time with kids. Further, intuition, imagination and creativity come naturally to me, which allows me to come up with thoughtful and creative solutions for conflict resolution and other obstacles. Feel free to contact me if you think we could be a great fit! I look forward to learning about your family, and sharing more about my experience and approach. All best, Avalon :)

$25 per hour for 1 child

My name is Luke and I'm a graduate of New York University ('16) with a BFA in Drama. Some of my favorite things to do are go to Broadway shows (obviously), playing tennis, writing, and going for a run along the Hudson River while jamming to Taylor Swift. I enjoy all things Harry Potter and will talk with anyone about it for hours. I've been babysitting in various capacities since I was 14. First, it was occasionally babysitting my neighbor's daughters while she cleaned the house or ran to the store. After that, I did some student teaching in first and second grade classrooms for a year, along with babysitting kids who were involved with my high school's musical productions. Just before graduating college in 2016, I transitioned into date night and after-school babysitting in NYC, working for close to 200 different families (so far)! My favorite thing about babysitting is making a connection with the kids I work with. Relationships are very valuable to me, regardless of if it's my family, my friends, or the people I work with. Being able to know that I've made not only a bond with the kids, but a positive impact as well, is the most rewarding part of my job. When it comes to working with kids, I've basically done it all at one time or another. Among my favorite jobs have been being a nanny for a number of incredible families after-school; working at a children's theatre in Manhattan, where I taught musical theatre classes for ages 3-14; and working as a tennis and theatre counselor at an all-girls summer camp in Maine, where I taught girls ages 7-16 and was a bunk counselor for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. Most recently, I've worked at several day camps in Manhattan - Asphalt Green Summer Day Camp, where I was the On-Site Program Manager for two years, and Steve and Kate's Camp at Kips Bay, where I was the Site Director. I am currently the PS 527 Program Director for the Imogen Foundation, an after-school program focusing on SEL and emotional literacy. I am very skilled in managing large groups of kids. As a camp counselor, you quickly learn to think on your feet because there's nothing more stressful than dealing with 200 incredibly bored kids stuck inside on a rainy day. Through my teaching experience, I've learned quite a bit of classroom management and how to command the attention of a room. Whether I'm working with one kid or several dozen, I have the experience to make the most of any situation. I look forward to hearing from you! :)

$25 per hour for 1 child

Hi! I'm Olivia. Thanks for visiting my profile. A little about me: I have 15 years of experience as both a full-time and part-time babysitter. I started babysitting in 2011, when I was a freshman at NYU. I'm now 33 and a freelance writer and editor. From 2011 to 2017 (before I left NYC temporarily for grad school), I babysat for 10-40 hours each week. My experience ranges from newborns to 14-year-olds, with every age in between. I especially enjoy sharing my love of books & reading. I love chatting with kids, answering their (hilarious/profound/thought-provoking) questions, and playing their favorite off-screen game. I was born in Manhattan, and I grew up in North and South Florida. Outside babysitting, I worked as a substitute teacher while attending grad school. From 2[removed], I was a full-time teacher at a private school in Florida, where I taught fourth grade reading, writing and science. I am skilled in social-emotional learning (SEL) and working with children with ASD (autism spectrum disorder), Levels I, I, and III; OCD; and ADHD. I am also skilled in helping kids cope with anxiety, anxious thinking, or anxiety-related behavior patterns. My hobbies include reading, spending time with my friends, and kayaking. I also have an M.F.A. in fiction writing, and I love talking to both kids and adults about books and writing! Some other helpful info: I am comfortable with pets and light housework/pet care. I am not comfortable babysitting children who are not feeling well/sick/contagious. Please let me know ahead of time if this becomes the case!

I'm a NYC native that has lived and worked as a nanny in both NYC and LA. I graduated from NYU with a BA in Creative Writing and minored in Early Childhood Education - which has benefited me greatly in my time spent with kids! I am from a large family and grew up around a bunch of kids. I've been babysitting for ten years, have been a full time nanny for 5, and have also taught as a children's music teacher, and summer camp swim instructor. I pride myself on being responsible, outgoing, and honest. A hectic household has always been familiar to me; and is sometimes where I feel most comfortable! I'm a runner, a writer, and live a really healthy and active lifestyle. As a nanny, I always try to lead with kindness and curiosity. I really believe in following the interests of the kids and allowing them to have safe and creative spaces to explore childhood and the various emotions that come with that. I'm just as comfortable taking a 3 year old to a museum as I am playing soccer or freeze-tag in the park -- and always try to find fun in the dull moments! I'm currently looking for full time positions. *I charge for full time booked if cancelled within 12 hours

$30 per hour for 1 child

Hi there! My name is Chantal, and I’m a recent graduate of NYU Wagner currently working part-time at a nonprofit organization. Because I work remotely and have a flexible schedule, I’m available for part-time, occasional, evening, and weekend babysitting. Working with children has always been one of the most joyful and meaningful parts of my life. I love building trusting relationships with children, encouraging their curiosity, and creating spaces where they feel safe, supported, and free to explore the world around them. My experience includes: • Nannying children from 3 months to 12 years old, with most of my experience being with children ages 2–6. I have worked long-term nanny positions as well as one-time babysitting, school pickups, evening care, and overnight care. • Working as an English-Spanish bilingual tutor in an elementary school, supporting children ages 6–8. • Serving as a sleepaway camp counselor for 5–6-year-old girls, where I completed training in CPR, First Aid, and water safety. I enjoy creating engaging experiences tailored to each child’s interests—whether that’s trips to the park, museums, libraries, or neighborhood adventures, as well as imaginative play, arts and crafts, reading, and sensory activities at home. I highly value outdoor time and believe childhood should be full of joy, creativity, wonder, and opportunities to learn through play. ✨ I’m also happy to provide: • Homework help and tutoring • Snack and meal preparation (omnivore, vegetarian, and vegan) • Pet care and assistance around the home • Support with public transit and practicing age-appropriate safety skills I am fluent in English and Spanish, conversational to near-fluent in Italian, and conversational in American Sign Language (ASL). I’m comfortable working in homes with pets of any kind and would love the opportunity to learn more about your family’s needs. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to set up a meeting! I look forward to meeting you and your little ones. 🫶🏼😊
