I’ve always loved working with kids and creating environments where they feel comfortable, safe, heard, and able to be themselves. I have experience working with children of many different ages through babysitting and as a camp counselor at a music summer camp, where I worked with campers ages 8–16. I led improv games, arts and crafts activities, music-based activities, and helped create a fun and welcoming environment for all campers. Working with children has also always been a part of my life because my mom has been a full-time nanny for over 30 years. Since I was 16, I’ve helped assist her with caring for children and babies of all ages (with permission from families), and through that experience, I learned how important patience, communication, attentiveness, and trust are when caring for kids.
