Hi, my name is Taina and I’m an NYU Tandon School of Engineering 2020 graduate in Biomolecular Science. I’m a pre-med school student studying to become a doctor and biomedical engineer. I have 10+ years of experience with babysitting/tutoring, being from Queens, N.Y. I was always babysitting/tutoring young boys and girls as young as newborns all the way up to the age of 15. I love children and being a babysitter allows me to form a connection with kids and gives me a good sense of what it means to be a caretaker and provider for my future profession in the medical career. I hope to one day become a pediatrician and serve the coming generations of our future. I’m also a Licensed Emergency Medical Technician and I’m extremely knowledgeable in my field. I’m very patient and responsible and have a true passion for working with kids. If you have any additional questions for me I’m always happy to answer them. My hourly rate is also negotiable based on family size and responsibilities. Thank you so much and have an amazing day!

I’ve had many years of childcare experience, as I grew up in a large family with many younger cousins! I’ve been a consistent nanny in the city for the past four years, taking care of children ages 0-5! I am looking for full time work though I am always open to part time. I love working with children and I really enjoy spending time with every child I have the privilege of caring for!

Hi there! My name is Lindy and I’m a 26-year-old artist and textile-maker living in Brooklyn. I graduated cum laude from NYU three years ago where I studied mental health with a focus on children and adolescents. I am passionate about early childhood, and this fall, I’ll be back in school working towards my masters degree in art therapy. In the mean time, I’m looking for part-time nanny work and regular babysitting opportunities! :) I adore children and have been babysitting since an early age. In addition, I have experience working as a teacher’s assistant at my local temple, a day care assistant, and as an intern at a children’s arts camp in Brooklyn. In total, I have over 5 years of experience caring for children aged 3 months to 12+. I've spent the past three years since graduating college nannying part-time. One of my previous nanny families described me as “kind, sensitive, attentive, and simply a lovely human being…who has very much become a part of our family.” I am fully vaccinated and boosted as well as CPR and First Aid certified. Let me know if you’d like to speak to my references!

Hello! My name is Maryam, and I am a New York Native. I take pride in caring for children like me who are born and raised in the city, and I always bring in their unique experiences within my care. I prioritize the safety and security of the children in my care, so I have an active certification in First Aid and CPR. On a professional level, I have experience working as a teacher at a non profit education program in Tribeca for children ages 6-9. I have also worked as a summer camp instructor for incoming first graders in East Harlem. On a personal level, I am the oldest of 4, and caregiving was a natural part of my childhood. For the age of 12, I was responsible for my younger siblings ages 1-9. I also provided care for other families in my neighborhood with them citing my dependability as the primary reason they trust me with their children who were in a similar age range to my siblings. Through these experience, I learned to be nurturing, creative, and responsible. I am able to plan fun and engaging activities, keep kids on a schedule, make healthy snack and light meals for children of every dietary restriction, and provide homework help. I especially love exploring the city, so I always incorporate activities that allows children to engage with their urban backyard. I also have experience caring for infants- feeding, diapering, burping, tummy time, nap time etc - and I have general knowledge of infant safety and development. I also learned that I need to remain flexible in order to adapt to the unique needs of the children in my care. Additionally, I am comfortable with pets, and I have a special affinity for cats. Caring for children comes naturally for me. I love to be there for every milestone and to guide them through every pain point, and I am excited to care for little ones through it all.

Hello, I have an extensive background as a caregiver. I have nurtured children from infancy through age 17. Your children will always learn through play, i.e. yoga, museum trips, park-time, sports, theater (Broadway-off Broadway), cozy bookstores, imaginary play, and will be guided towards self-sufficiency. I am aware that NYC kids and parents have busy schedules my position is to support them all. That being said, I'm quite resourceful, re: education development. Ability to schedule and organize play dates, accompany children to their extra-curricular activities/medical/dental appointments. Most notably, expertise around food allergies and guiding children to make healthy choices towards food. Extensive knowledge of nutrition. Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certified. I am extremely reliable and possess a high level of perspicacity. In addition, I am currently pursuing licensure in an RN nursing early morning program.

Hello! I’m Naomi, a recent college grad from NYU and someone who loves spending time with children. I received my BFA in Drama and Film from NYU, so I am quite the creative person, and love doing dramatic play, music, and various world-building activities with younger children. Throughout college, I became increasingly interested in childhood development, and took many Childhood and Adolescent Mental Studies (CAMS) classes. These classes allowed me to learn more about the early development process in infants, children, and adolescents, which further my interest in early childhood education. I worked with Jumpstart while I was at NYU - a program that provided preschool aged children in underfunded schools more opportunities to learn reading and comprehension skills. I worked as a Corps Member, but learned the most as a Team Leader my senior year. As a TL, I worked with a team of corps members to plan session plans, find engaging ways to interact with children and increase their reading and comprehension skills, guide trainings and reviews of best practices for storybook readings and vocabulary lessons, and much more. I lead team meetings, prepared different effective activities, and fostered a positive learning environment. This being said, I do have a lot of experience working with 3-5 year olds in an educational setting, but also have worked with families with children ranging from 1 year to 10 years old. I myself am also an aunt to my lovely niece and nephew, and watched over them from when they were infants until them now being 3 and 1 1/2, respectively. Currently, I am the Lead Babysitter at Chelsea Piers Fitness in Flatiron. I love going on walks, doing activities, arts and crafts, and finding different ways to engage with children. I can also do light housekeeping and prep snacks/meals. I also have worked with several families outside of Urban Sitter, and can give you references if you would like :) Thank you for reading - good luck on your search!
