I have been working with children for almost fourteen years, and was a Preschool Teacher for over five years. I have a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Development from SF State University. Prior to the covid-19 shutdown I worked as a teacher at Rockridge Little School in Piedmont for two years, where I worked with all ages groups (2-5 years) I also worked as a teacher at Claremont Day Nurseries Preschool in Kensington. I was a two year old teacher for one year, and then became a floater teacher for all the age groups (ages 2-5). Prior to this I started up an after-care organization with my mother in 2009 until 2012, where we took care of over nine children after-school per day, ages 6-10. On my work days I would spend the day playing with the kids, doing arts and crafts, providing homework help and overall enjoying the company of the children until the parents would come back from work. I love to do drawing/arts and crafts projects with the kids I take care of if possible, and really enjoy the creativity it brings out in each child. I have found my experiences with children to be both educational and heart-warming, and for those reasons have helped me develop as a person and I feel make me qualified to join the urban-sitter community.

I’m Briana, an experienced sitter for over 10 years. I cook, clean, and love to care for kids. From diapering to driving kids to their activities, I’m experienced with it all. When it comes to my style with care giving, I like to practice the just go with it method. Playing with kids, no matter their age, is a lot of improv. I enjoy forming connections with kids and supporting their natural preferences and curiosity, as long as they’re staying safe! I’ve recently been inspired by the RIE philosophy, studying and practicing it for 3 years. I enjoy nurturing each child’s curiosity, autonomy, and natural development. This means I create a calm and safe environment where kids can play at their own pace to naturally learn about the world around them, from infancy to childhood. I observe and respond thoughtfully to their cues as they explore and take it all in. I am the eldest grandchild in family, so taking care of little ones has always felt natural. During my 5 years living and studying in San Francisco, I worked extensively with kids whose ages ranged from 6months to 8 years old, often staying with one family for years as the children grew. I also had 5 months experience with an infant in Fontana. I love working with children of all ages and find it very easy to form relationships with those I care for. I enjoy singing, baking, playing outdoors and all things creative. I also teach yoga so I am always up to date with my CPR certification. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, and fish if you need help with pets at home. I also maintain my own small greenhouse and know my way around a garden, if you ever need help tending to your plants. I am confident I can be a great fit for any family who communicates how I can make the experience best for their unique needs. I look forward to meeting you all!

Hello! My name is Imann and I’m a 26 y/o student at Sacramento State University. I’ve been with UrbanSitter since 2018 and have been working with kids since I was around 14 years old, starting off by watching my younger sister and brother. Eventually it progressed to me watching the neighbors kids, kids of family/friends in my community, & working at various kids summer camps and after school programs. Since then I’ve had the pleasure of working with many amazing children and families. Overall I really enjoy being a fun and loving babysitter and I look forward to meeting you and your children!

Hello parents, I provide high-quality, attentive childcare with a calm, nurturing, and structured approach. I take pride in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where children feel secure and well cared for. I have hands-on experience working with children and focus on maintaining routines, encouraging positive behavior, and supporting each child’s individual needs. I can assist with school routines, homework, enrichment activities, and bedtime, while ensuring a smooth and organized daily flow. In addition to childcare, I offer light household support, including meal prep, tidying, and organization, helping maintain a clean and stress-free home environment. Hi! My name is Mariagracia, but I go by MG. I’m fluent in both English and Spanish. Recently graduated from San Francisco State University with a major in Environmental Studies. I’ve always loved caring for kids—whether they were cousins, family friends, or neighbors. I’ve worked with children of all ages, from 2 months to 12 years old, and I’m comfortable caring for up to 3 or 4 kids at a time. I’m CPR, AED, and First Aid certified. Safety is always my top priority when working with kids. I can help with homework, school pick-ups, meal/snack prep, daily walks, playdates, swimming, and keeping kids engaged and entertained. I’m also happy to help with light housekeeping and tidying up play areas. On top of that, I’ve house sat for multiple families over the years and have experience caring for both dogs and cats—so if you have pets, that’s a big plus for me! I bring a calm, caring, and responsible energy to every family I work with and always aim to create a safe and fun environment for kids to thrive in.

Hi! My name is Leticia, and I have several years of hands-on childcare experience working with children of all ages. I’ve worked as a nanny and babysitter since I was in high school and truly enjoy supporting children’s growth and development. In addition to babysitting, I have experience substitute teaching at a Montessori Preschool, where I helped create a positive and engaging learning environment in the absence of the lead teacher. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology as well as 2 Associate’s degrees in Psychology and Social & Behavioral sciences where I’ve taken early childhood education courses including child development and developmental psychology. I also have experience with children with diverse needs, including autism and ADHD. I’m skilled in coordinating schedules, helping with homework, preparing meals, managing bedtime routines, school drop-offs/pick-ups, and overnight care. I’m a very patient, attentive, and nurturing caregiver who enjoys engaging children in a variety of activities including arts and crafts, magna tiles, legos, and outdoor activities (ex: tag and playing at the park). I prioritize safety, clear communication with parents, and routines where children can thrive in. In my free time, I work with feral cats as well as socialize kittens. This is a huge passion of mine as I love animals and have quite a few pets myself. I would love the opportunity to support your family, thank you for considering my application and I look forward to speaking with you!

I have 20+ years experience working with newborns to teens. I’ve spent over a decade as a professional nanny/sitter in San Francisco Bay Area. I usually work with newborns/ infants/ toddlers, so I'm fully vaccinated with documentation. Received a certificate of completion as a newborn care specialist from Newborn Care Training Academy. My earliest childcare experience comes from growing up in a big family. I have 6 siblings and they have 10 kids who I've helped raise. In previous jobs, my duties included dog-walking, driving, light housekeeping/cooking, kid's laundry, sleep training, potty-training, baby-led weaning, baby massage, baby sign language, using cloth diapers, working in a nanny share, caring for twins/multiples, and physical therapy (epilepsy). I was a teacher's aide for preschool, kindergarten, and 1st grade. I've tutored K-12 students in reading and writing comprehension, basic class assignments and computer literacy. I’ve taught melodic percussion and play the ukulele. I can handle multiple children because I worked as a Kid's Club Attendant at 24-Hour Fitness --- busy with arts & crafts, jungle gym, song and dance parties. I drive to work from Berkeley Hills. Please let me know if there's any parking restrictions where you live (street cleaning/other parking rules). ________ VACCINATIONS Flu: 1/8/2026 Covid-19: 9/28/2025 HepB: 11/23/2016 Tdap: 11/22/2016 ________ - Adult/Pediatric CPR/First Aid/AED certified 5/3/25 - Member of International Nanny Association - CA Trustline Certified ________ POLICIES I expect to be paid the same whether the child is asleep/awake with the exception of overnight/travel jobs. Let's discuss expectations and negotiate. EARLY/LATE RETURNS: This work is my main source of income. Because I plan my time and budget around the hours booked, I ask to be paid for the entire booking even if you come home early. I'm usually flexible on the end time of a booking, but text/call if you'll be late, especially if we have not discussed flexibility beforehand. I occasionally book jobs back-to-back with just enough time for travel in between, and your late return can have an unfortunate impact on my schedule. CANCELLATIONS: For cancellations with less than 48 hours notice, I expect 50% of the original booking amount.
