Hello there! I majored in Child development in college and since graduating 11 years ago have had kids in my daily life ever since. I’ve loved teaching in toddler, two’s and many preschool classes over the years, I believe I learn as much from each age group as they learn from me. My true passion is discovering the interests of individual kids which is what I love about babysitting. I have nieces and enjoy taking to them to the playground and parks to ride bikes and scooters. We also enjoy exploring new eateries together. I’m a native San Franciscan so I love exploring the city with kids when possible. Hi! My name is Chelsea and I live in the Castro. I studied Psychology at San Francisco State and have always had a special interest in child development. I am the eldest of six and have extensive experience working with children of all ages. Before I moved to the Bay Area, I worked as a household manager/nanny for entrepreneurs, an overnight nanny for a nurse, and as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) working with children with behavioral difficulties and developmental disabilities providing ABA therapy. In addition, I’ve worked intermittently as a sitter over the last 13 years, as a classroom aide (K-3), a summer camp counselor for middle school age children, a private reading tutor, and a dog walker. I have also held numerous part-time nanny positions throughout the city as well as been a full-time nanny for a family while living in their downstairs unit. Since moving to the Bay Area in 2019 I have had the pleasure of working with a number of different families. Some of my duties have included school and activity pick-ups/drop-offs, preparing healthy meals, bathing, running errands, cleaning, homework support, and providing a hug and comfort when needed. My favorite part about working with kids is helping them reach their potential. I am big on promoting learning at every opportunity through music, art, and exploring the world around us. Celebrating success is one of my favorite parts of my work. I love promoting and reinforcing hard work, while also being supportive during times of struggle. I specifically enjoy creating learning games to build academic skills while being engaging and exciting. I spend a significant amount of my free time learning about best practices in promoting healthy eating, emotional development, and self esteem in kids. I do not consider myself to be a pushover, but at the same time I am not harsh or mean. When I worked as an RBT, my supervisors described me as being very patient and consistent. A bit about me: I have lived in SF, Larkspur, and Petaluma, and love what both the city and Marin have to offer. On weekends I enjoy spending my time hiking all over Marin, or taking my German Shepherd to the beach to play catch with a frisbee. When I’m not outside, I enjoy learning new songs to sing to on the piano and ukulele and reading books on personal development.

I have volunteered at Think Together after school program for about five years assisting and tutoring students. I helped raise and watch my three siblings and many cousins when I was ten. I’m 25 years old, I grew up in the Bay Area, I was born in Oakland and raised in San Francisco. Both my parents are from Guatemala so I am open to speaking Spanish! I graduated in Spring 2024 at SFSU with a Bachelors in Psychology with a Minor in Health Education. I have worked with children for about 5 years, I have prior experience working at a pre-school and home sessions, as a teacher assistant, Behavior Therapist and now im currently working as a Bilingual Early Intervention Therapist. I have experience working with ages range from 7 months- 12 years old. I’ve always held a passion in helping kids from all age range while being a facilitator. My current role allows me to grow and work with kids and families who are experiencing delays through child-led play. I am a mother of two amazing girls. When they were toddlers I had them in a co op preschool where the parents worked a few days a week. I really enjoyed it and my girls did as well. That was definitely my calling for working with children. I am presently a nanny for a six month old three days a week and I am comfortable with multiple children at one time.
