Hello families! My name is Leah, and I am excited to start working with you and your wonderful children. We might be a match if you're looking for someone with childhood development cred -- both in theory and in practice. I received two degrees from San Francisco State University in Child and Adolescent Development, covering early childhood and school age, and minored in special education. I've been putting what I learned to good use with the families I support, both long term ad occasionally. I understand why babies, toddlers, preschoolers and kiddos do what they do; I understand what is developmentally appropriate for them; and I will help guide them with the exploration of the world and their interaction with it. My favorite way to care for children is to be outdoor. I get on their level, see what they see, and share their fascination in new things. I keep children safe while supporting their exploration of the environment. I help children how to get along with others while supporting the development of their personalities. I help children and their parents, feel secure because that's everything! I have been a nanny since 2012. I have experience with multiples and nanny shares. I want to help raise resilient, compassionate, and intelligent adults. I believe that Frederick Douglass said it best when he said, "It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men." ****My availability will start November but I am looking for the perfect families now.

Hi, I’m Jasmine! I truly love working with kids and supporting families. I’ve been working with children for over a decade and am currently a substitute kindergarten teacher. I have experience in both general and special education, and am passionate about creating fun, safe, and engaging environments for children to learn and grow. I also have four years of senior caregiving experience. My journey started at twelve years old as a camp counselor in training for community service. By sixteen, I became a camp counselor, while also babysitting for local families and earning my CPR certification. Since then, I’ve continued to build meaningful relationships with seniors, families and children primarily ages 5 and up. When babysitting, I enjoy arts and crafts, board games, park and museum outings, and helping with homework. I love incorporating creativity and curiosity into my care. In my free time, I enjoy reading, journaling, painting, and drawing; hobbies that often inspire the activities I bring to kids.

Hi I'm Nicole and I am currently residing in San Diego. I just moved back to California after living in Charleston, SC where I managed a bridal shop. I also had a part-time nannying job for a 3 year old, but I have experience with kids from ages newborn to teen. I love being active and have a car, so I can easily take kids to the park or somewhere local for an outdoor activity. I am willing to help out with homework, help tidy up around the house, and cook. One of my favorite past-times is reading, so I would be more than happy to read to before bedtime.

Hi! I’m Yuri, a recent graduate from San Francisco State University with a Master’s degree in Cell Biology. I’m currently looking for occasional babysitting opportunities, especially for date nights and weekend help! I’ve been babysitting professionally for about 12 years and also grew up helping care for my 6 younger siblings. As a San Francisco native, I love building strong connections with local families and creating fun, enriching experiences for kids. I especially enjoy nurturing children’s creativity and curiosity through arts and crafts, reading in silly voices, building forts, digging for “gems” in edible sand (blended cereal!), Legos, nature walks, museums, and play groups. I have a Montessori-inspired, gentle parenting approach and love encouraging children’s independence, imagination, and confidence in a warm and supportive environment. Working with children genuinely brings me so much joy, and I hope to continue babysitting while I work toward finding a permanent full-time position in research. I’m looking forward to meeting you and your little one(s)!
