Aside from having taken care of my four daughters and nieces over the years, I most recently helped my daughter adjust back to her work routine and cared for my granddaughter on a regular basis, both day and nights. I am great with children and see each as my own, and am open to rules set by the parents and abide by them. I have pets at home, so caring for pets is nothing new to me, as well as seniors. I also take care of all of our household chores, so that's also something I can do if requested.

My degree from NYU is in Early Childhood Education and Theater, combining my passion for theater with my knack for working with young people. I've spent the last 3 years as a combination private chef and teacher in a preschool for children aged 2-5. I am a play-based educator, and subscribe to elements of both RIE and Montessori style teaching. My instincts are to first observe behavior as communication of a need, to asses how that need can be met, and provide gentle redirection to allow a child-led exploration of the world. My experience as a private nanny is with children from 12 weeks to 10 years, and these principles have served me with children of all ages. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, I enjoy spending time outdoors at the beach or camping in the mountains, so Southern California is a paradise to me. I love taking walks with my dog Gayle, who also enjoys the company of children.
