My childcare journey began at 12, babysitting in my church nursery, but it was my younger brother’s birth when I was 13 that truly ignited my passion for caring for little ones. Helping raise him next to a hard working single mother showed me how much I love nurturing and guiding children through their early years. Since then, I’ve gained over ten years of experience as a nanny, overnight caregiver, home manager, and preschool teacher. I’ve also worked as a professionally trained doula, further deepening my understanding of child development and family support. I’m also an active person and grew up participating in team sports, including soccer and swim team, which taught me the value of energy, focus, and teamwork—qualities I bring to my caregiving. I love creating fun, engaging moments to help kids learn, grow, and explore their world. Hi, my name is Kristen! I am a calm, warm, patient person with a positive demeanor and genuinely love to help people! My background is in art, design and architecture. I am currently pursuing design from a different approach and working part-time in caregiving and babysitting. I am great with kids and am educated and savvy about ADHD, Neurodiveristy and complex-trauma. I am particularly good with Neurodivergent, ADHD or creative kids. I am a curious person in general and love helping kids learn about their interests and in particular love to support or mentor around art, crafts, design, etc. I am also interested in working with seniors and enjoy chit chatting, helping with compassion and thoughtfulness and am able to be thorough and conscientious around routines and medication. Hi I’m Andrea! I am a responsible and caring babysitter with hands-on experience working with children through a school child development program. I have two years of experience supporting children’s growth, safety, and daily routines, including working with children with special needs. I have also volunteered as a camp leader, supervising a group of five children, organizing engaging activities, and managing daily schedules from morning wake-ups to bedtime. In addition, I am a certified medical assistant with current BLS certification, as well as adult and pediatric CPR and First Aid training. I have volunteered in elementary school settings and am confident in creating a safe, structured, and positive environment for children of all ages. I have been a nanny and youth educator for over 10 years. Working with children of a variety of ages — 3 months to 15 years. My specialty is creativity and nature connection. Professionally I teach drama, creativity, outdoor education for youth, and I guide a therapeutic embodiment practice for adults. I also work in the creative field as a performing artist and on all sides of event production. Because of this I marked weekend evenings as not generally available, however I am flexible at this time and will adjust for the right family!
