My name is Moriah I have been babysitting for 12 years now. I love animals and have two cats of my own and 2 bearded dragons. I have taken care of non-neurotypical kids and adults. I was a caregiver in California for a year before I moved back to the Portland area. I am CPR certified. I enjoy reading, board games, sports and some crafts.
My name is Emma I am from Marin County, California and I graduated from Portland State University in June of 2021. I completed a degree in Graphic Design with a Business Minor in Advertising Management. I am looking for occasional weekday and weekend babysitting jobs. I come from a big family and have always been around children of all ages. I began babysitting at age 12, working with children ranging from 2 months old through the teenage years. Babysitting was my main source of employment throughout my high school and college years. I have also been a nanny for seven different families during summer months and after school. In addition, I volunteered at a well known preschool in the Marin Community, in the infant room as well as other classes through the preschool program. I am happy to send letters of recommendation and look forward to working with you and entertaining your kiddos! Let me know how I can best help you and your family.
I am a semi-retired licensed Registered Nurse with five grown children and four grandchildren. I have worked as a nanny full time, part time, and night nurse. I have done occasional work for families for nights out, special events, and sick children who cannot attend regular childcare. I have also covered babysitting services for a conference in the past. My experience includes all ages, multiple children, diabetics, and neurodivergent children. I’ve been babysitting since I was a teenager. I love children and animals and I spend my childcare time reading, playing, dancing, exercising, walking, and doing crafts. Our days are very busy and interactive. I try to make basic daily tasks fun to keep the children engaged and willing to do things like hand washing and clean up. I am patient, kind, and loving. I have my own vehicle and a clean driving record if transportation should be necessary. Pets are not a problem. I will happily feed, water, walk, brush, play with and/or check-in on your animals. I am fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID (and a bunch of other stuff). I am clean and keep hand sanitizer with me. I am also certified in Basic, Advanced, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. I am open to light housekeeping duties, and I don't mind meal prep or cooking. Most people enjoy my cooking and I am health conscious and creative, but certainly respect that some children may have limited food preferences and/or allergies and I am willing to work within those limitations. I strive to provide a positive experience that is fun, safe, and comfortable, and allows you to feel secure in your choice, knowing your precious child or children are in good hands.
New to Portland, OR, I moved here with my husband and two cats from Nashville, TN so I could study naturopathic medicine at NUNM. Before starting medical school, I worked as a professional nanny and part-time babysitter for 4 years after graduating from Vanderbilt University with my bachelors. I’ve cared for children of all ages from infant to pre-teen and we always find a way to have fun and learn new to things! My responsibilities have included meal prep, drop off and pick up from school or camp, morning and nighttime routines, and general tidying of the house. I would describe myself as punctual, professional, and flexible under pressure. I have reliable transportation and a clean driving record. I have also house sat and dog watched for a family I had nannied for, where my duties included checking food and water, administering medicine, and taking her for walks. With my variable school schedule, I’m looking for one-time or part-time childcare or pet-care positions. I hope you find me to be a good fit!
I am a mother of 3. my daughter is 18 and my son is 6 and my other daughter is 2. my parents did foster care when I was younger, so I was exposed to all sorts of people and kids. I babysat for years, worked at a daycare and helped with many kids programs in my area and community. I love to be silly and creative.

"UrbanSitter is my go-to for quality sitters! I can book weeks ahead of time or easily find a same-day sitter when in a bind. I even hired a part-time nanny during a daycare transition. Customer service is helpful and babysitters respond in a timely manner."
