Hi, my name is Karla. I’m the oldest of six siblings, ranging in age from 2 to 19, I’ve been around little ones my whole life! I’m originally from South San Francisco and currently studying at Saddleback College, working toward a career in teaching. I began babysitting my own siblings, then started caring for children of my mom’s friends. After high school, I managed a shoe store for two years, but I realized my passion was working with children. Since then, I’ve spent the last four years in licensed daycare centers, starting in a preschool classroom, then moving to toddlers, and currently a lead teacher in Pre-K. I also have some experience with infants and am very open to working with them more. Working in a variety of daycare settings has exposed me to different teaching philosophies and approaches to early childhood development. I genuinely enjoy helping kids reach their developmental milestones and creating a positive, supportive environment for them to grow.

Hi families! I’m Paula. I’ve been working in childcare since 2017 – over 9 years of experience with children ages 6 months to 16 years. I also spent 2 years as an au pair, so I’m very comfortable being a warm, reliable part of a family’s daily life. My current situation: I’m currently caring for a wonderful 2-year-old, but I previously was taking care her sibling before he started school. I’ve been with my most recent family for 5 years – but both of their children are starting to go to school full-time, so I’m respectfully transitioning to a new opportunity. Safety & reliability: . Fully vaccinated . Own car + clean driving record . References available from past families What I bring to your family: I’m loving, patient, and proactive. I love helping children, I enjoy the outdoors – parks, hiking, exploring nature – but I’m also great at indoor crafts, games, and keeping things organized. I cook, I clean up, and I show up on time. I’d love to support your family – let’s talk!

$40 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 3 families in San Francisco, CA

Hello! My name is Arody :) I’m a dedicated childcare professional with 10+ years of experience caring for infants, toddlers, and school-aged children. I value direct communication, reliability, and creating a safe, positive environment where kids can learn, grow, and feel supported. I’ve worked as a classroom teacher for 25+ students, developed bilingual lesson plans abroad for underprivileged children, and supported families with children of all ages, including those with special needs. Most recently, I have been the full-time nanny for a San Francisco family since their youngest was 6 months old (now 2 years and 2 months). I also care for his 6-year-old brother as needed, managing outings, schedules, and activities for both while ensuring their comfort and safety. I’m an experienced driver with a clean record and have safely operated multiple family vehicles over the past five years. I’m looking to connect with a family who values clear communication, honest feedback, warmth, and professionalism. My goal is to work in true partnership with the family, and I hope that a collaborative, team oriented dynamic is a shared priority. If you feel we may be a good fit, I’d welcome the opportunity to connect and determine whether we’d be a strong match! Warmly, Arody

Arody nannied for us for a little over a year and half starting when our son was almost 6 months. She has a lovely demeanor and bonded almost immediately with our son. She was proactive about finding activities for him and keeping him entertained in a developmentally appropriate manner. She was also great about prepping snacks and meals and tidying up as needed. Our older son has a bit more of a challenging personality and she was great about setting boundaries but still showing him how to communicate with love and respect. We loved our time with Arody!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
