Hi, my name is Joyce, and I'm a dog mom and cat mom. I'm also a daughter of an aging parent, sister, and aunt. I provide babysitting (including for infants and toddlers), nanny, mother's helper, household assistant, senior care, pet care, house sitting, and household services. I've taken care of my niece and nephew from when they were born and throughout their childhoods. I also have experience with infants, toddlers, as well as middle school and high school. I grew up in the same area as my grandparents, and also worked at the senior center in my hometown growing up, so I'm very used to being around seniors. I can cook, drive to appointments, or do other tasks. (I also love board games and hearing people's stories!) I've been in sales and customer-facing roles most of my life, and I love to make people feel at home and comfortable. I'm an empath, so very attuned to people's emotions. I also love conversation and talking about a wide range of topics. As it relates to pet care: I have a cat and a dog currently, and have also had fish, leopard geckos, and hermit crabs as pets, and volunteered in a Biology Lab with many animals, both mammals and reptiles. As it relates to house sitting: I'm experienced in house sitting, including watching pets while house sitting. I can water your plants, take out the trash weekly, and make sure anything else you need is taken care of. If you'd like help cleaning while you're away, I can do that as well. As it relates to household services: I'm experienced in coordinating repairs and vendors, cleaning, cooking, grocery shopping, organization, cleaning, managing vendors, and planning. I can also do personal assistant projects as well.

I have been a nanny for over fifteen years, working with children from infant to school-age. I have great passion for what I do, I am very focus on the child needs, keeping them healthy, happy and safe while the parents are away. I am very attentive and put the child interests first. I like to prepare healthy meals for the children, keeping theirs toys/clothes clean and organized. I am very calm, active and nurturing person, I have clean driving record and I am trust line registered.

Celia was our nanny. She was always focused on the kids and their needs. She easily navigated drop off and pick ups from school or activities for my older child and took my baby to the park or to activities. She loved making them healthy meals. She would also go above and beyond my making special treats for different holidays throughout the year.

Hi all! I’m a recent UC Berkeley graduate, and I’m also very passionate about Education and child-care which is why I’ve been tutoring, mentoring and babysitting for a while. At my most previous job, I worked at a Montessori school where I was an assistant teacher. I developed and implemented lesson plans and curriculum with assistance from Head teacher and learned to create a safe learning environment by establishing classroom rules and ensuring students follow behavioral standards. I love nannying and learning about how every child’s mind is unique. In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, and hanging out with family. I have references and a resume if needed.

Wonderful Babysitter with a Positive Attitude I've had the pleasure of having Amanda as my child's babysitter, and I couldn't be more satisfied. Amanda consistently brings a positive attitude to her work, which instantly puts my child at ease. She's incredibly thoughtful and attentive to my child's needs, always ensuring that they are comfortable and happy. I appreciate how proactive she is in engaging my child in fun and educational activities. Amanda is truly a gem, and I highly recommend her to anyone in need of a reliable and caring .

Hi, I’m Vanessa. I’m 26 years old, and I’m from Brazil. I’ll tell you a little bit about my experience. I started working at a mall, selling children’s clothes and helping parents try outfits on their kids. At that moment, I realized how much I love children, so I knew I needed to do something related to that. I started volunteering at a preschool, where I spent time with the kids. They had cooking classes and played games, and it was an amazing experience. However, I left to work for a family with a 3-year-old boy. I used to take care of him—playing, feeding him, giving him baths, and sometimes putting him to bed so his parents could have a date night. I also helped them with potty training. I stayed with this family for a year and a half, and we still keep in touch. Later, I worked for another family with two children—a girl (11) and a boy (8). We used to play, watch movies, give them fruit or dinner, and help them get ready for bed. I am someone who enjoys reading books with children, playing outdoors, exploring, and discovering new things. I am also very patient and respectful with kids. For pet parents, I am an animal lover! I grew up with dogs, so they are a big part of my life. I personally have five dogs in my home country. I also take care of a family’s pet, visiting their house to play with the animal, take it for walks, give it treats, water, and food, and spend quality time with it before leaving.

Vanessa was great with our 2.5yo daughter. Would love to hire her again!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
