San Francisco
$23 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in San Francisco, CA

Hi, thanks for taking the time to view my profile! I'm Sam, a Cal Poly grad living in SF looking for my next nannying/household manager role. I have 9+ years of child care in numerous capacities, ranging from sleepaway summer camp counselor to date night babysitter to full-time nanny & household manager. I have cared for children of all ages, from infants to tweens. My full-time nannying experiences include looking after a family of two children (4yo and 6yo) as well as a family of three (2yo, 5yo and 7yo) As a caretaker, my responsibilities have included: planning engaging activities such as going to the park or museum, preparing snacks & meals, bedtime/evening routines, driving to & from extracurriculars, tutoring, homework assistance and basic household chores. I take a child-centered approach to childcare. It's important to me that your child is not just kept safe while in my care, but having fun and learning through age appropriate activities - bonus points if it's art related! Growing up with two younger sisters (five and ten years younger than me, one on the autism spectrum), I developed a nurturing and attentive personality. For some of my families, I've taken on additional household management responsibilities including scheduling appointments, handling online orders & returns, tending to house plants/gardens, managing grocery shopping, running other errands; even booking travel plans and helping parents run their small businesses - basically a jack of all traders personal assistant. I've spent the last five years working in tech, but have left the corporate world to pursue my dream of becoming a nurse. I am looking for part time, full time and date night caretaking roles over the next year(s) while I prepare to apply to nursing school and take online pre-requisites. While I studied engineering, I do have several early education college courses under my belt. In terms of pet care, I am available for overnight/long term pet sitting and occasional/daytime 'check-ins' and dog walking. I grew up with australian shepherds, cats, bunnies, and even a bearded dragon, so have always been a devoted anima lover. I have 7 years of dog walking & pet sitting experience. In my free time, I love to read and hike. I'm excited to meet you and your family and provide exceptional care - for any further questions, please feel free to schedule an interview! Thank you for reading!

Samantha was our babysitter for many years when my daughters were younger. She still helps out with overnights, pet sitting, errands and house sitting. She is wonderful! Besides being a professional in the tech industry, she is hardworking, kind, and trustworthy. She maintains healthy boundaries with children and keeps them safe while entertained. Happy to answer any questions but I would not think twice about having Sam work for your family.

Johanna San Francisco
$35 per hour for 1 child

Hello! My name is Johanna, and I am currently between jobs, figuring out the next phase of my career. I am originally from Vermont and moved to San Francisco about 2 years ago. I went to college and lived in NYC for 15 years and never thought I would leave, but here I am! Since I'm a country girl at heart, I feel like I get the best of both worlds living in San Francisco; between the city life and endless natural wonders, it's truly a majestic place where I spend a lot of my time hiking and exploring. I spent a lot of time babysitting while I was in high school and college. My mom gave birth to my youngest sibling when I was in high school (a 17-year age gap), so I spent significant time caring for him as an infant. I also have two nieces and one nephew whom I absolutely adore. I love kids and working with people in general, and I am very good at it. I worked in sales for 8 years in the beauty industry for The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC), so I truly enjoy connecting with others. I consider myself an empathic, nurturing, and bubbly individual who loves helping others. I also love animals. I am more of a dog person, but I adore all creatures. I used to do a bit of dog sitting in high school and currently dog-sit for a family friend. I am open to watching children, seniors, and pets, as well as helping with household services.

Booked by 2 families in San Francisco, CA

Hello! I'm a recent UCSB graduate and new SF resident! I studied Environmental Studies and Art History and have had a diverse range of jobs from waitressing to wetland field research. I am currently pursuing an online program in GIS & Geospatial Technology through UCLA. I’ve worked with kids through multiple channels such as being a teaching assistant to a planter-box construction class at a middle school, working as a camp counselor, in afterschool art programs, hosting kids gardening events, and babysitting. I’m most familiar working with the 3-12yr range. I love exploring and sharing my love of the environment and natural sciences with others. I am equally as passionate about art, and try to make art with everything I do. I’d love to share my interests in the outdoors and in art with your kids! From spending time with kids, I’ve learned they are the biggest blessing and strain life can give you. I am very fond of spending time with kids--listening to their hopes, dreams and complaints, building forts, coming up with new dances, and drawing pictures you can hang in your home until they go to college. Anything to distract them from their tablets. Let me work for you and this can all be yours! If you’d like to see my real resume, I’m more than happy to share!

Sophia was highly professional - proactive communicator, super prompt. She became fast friends with both of my kids (3.5 / 5.5)!

I’m a responsible, experienced, oldest daughter with 5 younger siblings with a large age gap. I spent the majority of my teen years babysitting and watching my siblings. I also have had two full time nanny jobs for children ranging from 4-13. I have experience with children with autism, food intolerances, and medical conditions. I’ve done part time babysitting and nannying jobs here in San Francisco for the last 3 years now as well. Overall I’m someone who loves children and has plenty of experience both professionally and personally. I also am very self sufficient and well versed in running errands and driving around the city. I look forward to any new opportunities to continue doing what I love!

Victoria was great! We’d gladly have her back. My nine year old daughter especially loved hanging out with her

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
