Naweera 5 reviews
$35 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 8 families in San Francisco, CA

Hi there! I’m Naweera, and I have several years of childcare experience caring for children ranging from 9-month-old infants to children over 10 years old. I genuinely enjoy creating a safe, calm, and engaging environment for kids. I’m patient, reliable, and warm, and I bring a thoughtful, structured approach to childcare. I also have experience as a tutor, so I’m happy to help with homework across subjects like math (algebra, geometry, trig), English, and the Arts. I’m comfortable with meal prep, bedtime routines, and light cleanup, and I’m also great with pets. I like to keep kids engaged through activities, games, and conversation rather than just screen time. I especially enjoy spending time with children outdoors and fostering curiosity through activities that engage their minds and senses, such as reading, nature walks, creative play, arts and crafts, and other hands-on experiences. Happy to provide references upon request. I can't wait to meet your family!

We had a great experience having Naweera babysit our 9 month old daughter. She was very communicative prior to her arrival to let me know she was on her way and arrived early. She was ready to jump in and help as soon as she arrived and my daughter took to her immediately. We had a unique situation as I was home, but injured, and she was very adaptable and willing to provide the help we needed. She helped with playtime, bottle feeding, burping, dinner (solids), bath time, bedtime routine, diaper changes as well as clean up. She took initiative to ask if there were other specific things she could help with that I had not initially asked for. We would definitely hire her again and recommend her!

$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 3 families in San Francisco, CA

Hi, I’m Lua. I’m a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with CPR training and over 6 years of experience working with families in California. For the past year, I’ve been caring for a little girl who is now 2 years old — I started when she was 11 months. Being part of her daily routine and development during this stage has been very meaningful to me. I also have long-term experience with infants, twins, and siblings, and I’m grateful to still be in touch with the families I’ve worked with. I’m responsible, calm, and attentive, and I truly care about providing a safe and nurturing environment. Available to start in late March or April.

We feel incredibly lucky to have had Luana as part of our family over the past year. She cared for our daughter from 11 months old through her 2nd birthday, and we truly cannot imagine a better caregiver. Luana is everything you hope for in a nanny. Loving, warm, patient, and deeply attentive. Our daughter adores her, and it was clear every day how genuinely she cared. She created a safe, nurturing, and joyful environment that gave us complete peace of mind. We trusted her entirely, which is the greatest gift a parent can receive. She is consistently punctual, reliable, and professional, while also bringing so much heart to her work. Beyond exceptional childcare, she went above and beyond in helping our household run smoothly, assisting with laundry, meal prep, and other chores without ever being asked. Her proactive, thoughtful nature made such a difference in our daily lives. Luana has become such an important part of our family, and we are truly sad to see her go. Any family would be incredibly fortunate to have her. We recommend her wholeheartedly and without hesitation.

I’m a recent graduate with a B.A. in Sociology from UCLA. I have experience with children ages ranging from 4 months to 13 years old. I absolutely adore kids and have worked with them all my life. I’m also a huge animal person. I grew up in Marin, where I went to Tam High, and just moved back to live in SF! My experience includes being a teacher at Stapleton Ballet Fantasy Summer Camp while I danced at the company before college, and during college, I worked at the UCLA Lab School as a teaching assistant for grades Pre-K thru 5th. So, I am definitely available to help with homework! I have babysat since I was 12 years old, and truly love doing it. I recently started a job as a teacher at the Town School for Boys within the Extended Day Program. I hope to pursue obtaining my credentials and continue my career in education.

Kayla is always such a gem. She's always great with our kids (6yo and 4yo).

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
