$35 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 5 families in San Francisco, CA

Hi, I’m Dilan, an Ecuadorian architect and educator with experience in extracurricular activities; I’ve been working in the New School of SF with children for over five years. I lead a wide range of activities, including motor skill development, math, handwriting, and dance (I am a professional dancer and a member of a dance troupe Instagram: @chekumbe). I have worked with children with autism and anxiety; this experience has taught me how to understand them and view the world from a different perspective. I currently assist two families on a regular basis, handling cooking (I managed a family restaurant in Ecuador), deep cleaning the home (I am very meticulous about cleanliness), running errands, and childcare. I am physically capable of moving heavy objects and am an excellent "manny." I treat children with love and respect, and I am an animal lover: I have three dogs at home (one is 14 years old) and a rescued cat. I enjoy sports and have been living in the United States for a year and a half. I speak English (though I am still learning), Spanish is my native language, and I speak a little Portuguese. I am dedicated to teaching, fostering respect and tolerance, and building wonderful bonds with children. I also have crafting skills—such as sewing, macramé, knitting, and embroidery; you can check out my Instagram @smeraudes to see and buy the amazing things I create. I would love to meet you and help out in any way I can.

$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 3 families in San Francisco, CA

Hey there, my name is Yeinell (or Jay for short)! A bit about me: I was born in the Dominican Republic but spent most of my life in NY up until college. I recently graduated from UC Berkeley where I studied psychology and public policy. I have been babysitting since I was 14 years old (not including being a full time big sis/eldest cousin). I have worked with toddlers for about 4 years and children from TK- 8th grade ages for about 7 years. Most of my work experience has involved caring for or learning to understand children; whether that is mentoring, teaching abroad, or conducting developmental psych research the past couple of years. I have in the past worked for a dog walking and cat sitting group where I honed my skills in the pet caretaking field. Currently, I work full time with Americorps at an elementary school in San Francisco managing behavioral issues/interventions, teaching the SEL Curriculum, and running the Mentoring For Success Program. I love hiking, snowboarding , BJJ , and meditation! I also love animals and have raised 2 kitties myself 🙂! I speak Spanish, English, and Portuguese and love learning about new cultures. I have a passion for helping others and fostering a healthy environment for children to grow inside and outside of the home. I am available after school most days until late nights, and almost all weekends! If you have any questions about my availability or experience please do not hesitate to reach out, I am willing to accommodate!

Eliana is such a delight! She worked with my family for 5 years since my son was a newborn and then fully at 6 months old. She’s a great helper, I never had to ask her what to do— she just knew. And I loved and needed that as a new mom. She helped out my nephew who’s the same age as my son. Multiple times from newborn till about 4 years old a few times a month. She did everything from making food, feeding, bathing, napping, park, beach, zoo, tidying up… she did it all. Watched my son unsupervised and trusted her completely. My son is very expressive and honest about how he feels about people— he absolutely loves her. They have a wonderful relationship- they have play dates every week still. We love eliana. I highly recommend her!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
