Hello parents! My name is Livia, I’m 32 years old, and I’m originally from Brazil. One of the things I love most about being a childcare provider is getting to know each child and building a genuine connection with them. Every child has their own personality, and I believe children thrive when they feel safe, respected, and truly seen. I love the Montessori philosophy and enjoy using many of its principles in my daily work. At the same time, I understand every family is unique, so I always respect each family’s parenting style and adapt my care to what works best for their child. I’ve been caring for children for several years in both Brazil and the U.S. I worked as an au pair from 2019 to 2021, and since then I’ve been working as a professional nanny, primarily with infants and toddlers while caring for children of all ages. I recently graduated from Berkeley City College with degrees in Liberal Arts and Gender Studies, and I continue taking courses in child development because I genuinely love learning. I’m CPR and First Aid certified, have completed Child Safety training through the American Red Cross Learning Center, and have a clean driving record with my own reliable car. One of the most meaningful experiences of my life was volunteering in Tanzania, where I cared for children in a daycare while supporting a girls’ education project. I speak Portuguese, English, and Spanish. I also spent three months living in Argentina, which helped me improve my Spanish while experiencing the culture. I love arts and crafts, reading, sensory play, outdoor adventures, and creating fun, developmentally appropriate activities. Hi! I’m a nanny with 4 ½ years of experience, two semesters of Montessori coursework under my belt, and a big heart for little humans. I’m am starting my third semester studying Early Childhood Education in Fall because I truly believe the early years matter most.
