Hi there! My name is Shanel. I have experience with all ages as I’ve worked in daycares and worked with many different families who have had children of different ages ranging from 0 to 15. I also have a lot of experience with children who have mental or physical disabilities. My responsibilities thus far having been driving, homework help, crafts/indoor activities, outdoor activities, overnight help or babysitting, preparing meals, bottle feeding, bedtime routines, changing diapers or bath time and hosting play dates. I’ve also done live in care for over two years. I’m able to offer senior care, pet care and household care/errands as I’ve taken care of both my grandparents and have had many different pets of my own. I can cook, clean, do laundry, drive, organize etc. I am CPR certified and a non-smoker. I have my California drivers license, I also have my own car.

Shanel was everything we needed in a babysitter. She regularly cared for our younger son from age 4 months to 1 year. She was reliable, efficient, and most importantly, very caring and nurturing to our son. She did everything from bottles and nap time to solid foods and activities for his development. She would sometimes care for our 4 year old son as well, and could manage both very well. She has no problem getting down on the floor to read, play, talk and sing. We would use Shanel again and highly recommend her.

$35 per hour for 1 child

Hi My name is Alejandra. I have over 5 years of experience caring for children of all ages, especially babies and older kids. With them, I love using art, toys, and creative activities to keep them engaged and help them learn in a fun and meaningful way. I also enjoy helping with household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and running errands. I’m happy to assist with homework as well! Additionally, I have experience caring for pets and am a big dog and cat lover. In my free time, I enjoy painting, drawing, and creating collages. I am also a proud leader in my college’s Latino community. Working with children brings me so much joy because they always put a smile on my face, and I love spending time with them, watching them grow, and seeing how they develop new skills every day.

Alejandra watched our 4 & 7 year old girls. She did a fantastic job and the seven year old wanted her to come back the next day. She showed up on time and was professional (and fun).

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
