My name is Monique, and I am a dedicated childcare professional with over 7 years of experience as a caregiver and five additional years as an English teacher in Brazil. I have been living in Oakland since January 2019, when I first arrived in the United States. I began my career in childcare as an au pair in early 2019 with a wonderful family who inspired my passion for child development and family support. I've been working with children since I was 15, I started nannying and tutoring children ages 5 to 16 and then I moved on to working at schools in care programs. I also worked for 2 months in Romania at a program for underprivileged children in a director position which meant I was in charge of managing all classes, counselors, and communicating with families.
