Tovah $20 per hour for 1 child

Dear prospective family, I'm a fun loving, caring, gentle person, while knowing when there is a need to set boundaries. I know I was out of this profession for awhile (14yrs), before I took a six month job with a family from Brilliant Nanny before the kids returning to daycare for the social aspect. MY down time has taught me with everything going on in the world, and if you don't love what you're doing find what you do. I remembered how much I enjoyed being a nanny, and the fond memories, and watching the children learn and grow into young adults. After a 12yr job with 2x children we are still in each other's lives after 20 years. My time in retail has taught me patience, to be calm, that every situation is different, and excellent communication is key. Which can be applied as being a nanny also. Each of these skills I think can be used while being a nanny. I'm certified by Northwest Nanny Institute so I have child development classes/ child education, age apprroitate activities, separation anxiety, nutrition, sleep routine, and more. For 2mo I was responsible for two 3yr olds. During are days together: I provided structured activities including arts and crafts projects, baking, walks, and physical activities, as well as reading time, building forts, child led play, and trips to the park. Also assisted with potty training.  I would prepare snacks, and meals. This was a short term contract due to school starting. Before that I cared for 6 months I cared for an 8 month old and 3 1/2 year old. Our days consisted of baking, arts and crafts, dance parties, imaginary play, and getting outside for daily exercise. Lastly I took a short term (2 month contract) with two 3yr olds. This was short term care due to children starting pre-school. During the days we would spend are time doing baking, arts and crafts, reading, child led play,, and outdoor fun. I'm looking to work 25-30 hrs in a 4 day period or less a week, and willing to travel NE, N, SE, and parts of SW. Thank you for your time.

Tess $30 per hour for 1 child

Hi, I’m Tess! I’ve been caring for kids for over 10 years, from energetic toddlers to busy teens. I also spent 3 years as a camp counselor and wilderness guide, where I led groups of girls into the Boundary Waters and taught outdoor skills, independence, and teamwork. Those experiences gave me a deep love for supporting kids as they learn, grow, and build confidence. Alongside childcare, I work as a household manager — keeping schedules organized, prepping meals, running errands, and making sure the home runs smoothly day to day. Families I’ve worked with appreciate that I’m reliable, creative, and calm under pressure, whether it’s helping with homework, keeping routines on track, or planning fun activities. I’m also preparing to attend grad school in child psychology, with the goal of specializing in adolescent development. Caring for children isn’t just a job for me — it’s part of the path I’ve chosen for my career and future.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
