Paul 2 reviews
$25 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 2 families in San Francisco, CA

Hi! My name is Paul, I'm 25 and just recently moved to San Francisco from Vermont. I have many years of experience caring for children of all ages, from infants to elementary aged kids (primarily toddler aged), I bring a patient, friendly, and flexible approach to childcare. I have a college degree in environmental studies, but have worked in early childhood education for the past 3 years. I also have worked as a summer camp counselor and have experience with babysitting. Throughout my time as a teacher I have learned a lot about caring for children, and have taken early childhood education classes to further my knowledge on the subject. When participating in childcare I enjoy playing sports, exploring the natural world, and promoting curiosity within children. I'm a firm believer in making learning fun, and helping guide children through their interests. I'm comfortable with caring for up to four children and hope to create a space for learning, exploration and open communication.

Paul was super sweet with our four-year-old son! Very kind, flexible, and good communicator.

Kaitlin 2 reviews
$35 per hour for 1 child

Hi families! I’m Ms. Kaitlin, a Master’s-level Special Education teacher with over 10 years of experience working with children. I currently lead my own classroom and have extensive experience supporting children with a wide range of abilities, learning styles, and developmental needs. I’m known for being calm, patient, and nurturing while also providing structure and clear expectations. Whether supporting homework, routines, play, or emotional regulation, I aim to create a safe, positive environment where children feel supported and understood.

Kaitlin is, by far, the best babysitter we have ever had. We hired her during the summer of Covid and she worked with our family the entire next school year. She is smart, thoughtful, helped our kids with their schoolwork, hiked and played sports with them and was FUN. Our dog. Our kids. Me. We all love her and consider her family. She is easygoing but thoughtfully strict when needed. She is probably the most creative person I’ve ever met. She is the absolute best. Can’t recommend her enough!

Booked by 7 families in San Francisco, CA

Hi! I’m Maria I’m 24, bilingual in Spanish and English, and I’ve been babysitting and nannying since I was 14. I’ve cared for children of all ages, from newborns to school-aged kids, and I truly enjoy being someone families can rely on. Growing up in a big family, I’m comfortable in busy households and know how to keep kids engaged while making sure their routines stay on track. I love doing crafts, playing games, going on walks or outings, helping with homework, preparing meals, and simply making everyday moments fun and positive. I’m also happy to help with meal prep, children’s laundry, light housekeeping, organizing, errands, and pet care when needed. I’d describe myself as reliable, patient, caring, responsible, and easy to communicate with. I understand how important it is for parents to feel comfortable and confident in the person caring for their children, and I always do my best to create a safe, positive, and welcoming environment. I’m happy to provide references and would love to connect and see if I’d be a good fit for your family!

She was very communicative prior to our first meet. Our daughter enjoyed her time with Maria. Grateful for help with a dependable care taker

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
